Project Life | 2012 Week 6

PL_12WW06clVanilla greek yogurt with kashi, my favorite breakfast.

PL_12WW06A birthday party at 'My Gym' for one of Cole's classmates, the Mesa Takes Flight festival, and a stop at Habit Burger.

PL_12WW06aA fun party, complete with cupcakes from Sprinkles - yum. Check out Lauren's tail.

PL_12WW06bAn excellent quote from Cole. And a glimpse into the evening routine - added 'special' 1:1 play time into the mix a few weeks back. Each kid gets 10 min with each parent - it's actually a nice way to wind down (for all involved!)

Project Life | 2012 Week 5

PL_12WW05cl Lauren is loving Round 2 of her ballet/tap class at the YMCA.

PL_12WW05 A hike at Telegraph Pass, dinner at IKEA, more dancing, and sun butter cookies.

PL_12WW05a Long time since I'd hiked Telegraph, very sore the next day!

PL_12WW05b Got some new art work for Lauren's room (frames and prints from Pottery Barn, and frames on clearance!), and Sushi Ken for Fri dinner (discovered Cole loves unagi!)

Project Life | 2012 Week 1 - 4

Well, I've been keeping up, but I'm a little slow to post.... So here are pages for January :)

PL_12WW01 Week 1: Cole graduated out of the Baby and Me swimming class, Lauren climbed the rock wall, and I worked a lot....

PL_12WW02 Week 2: We got a new sofa, Cole got sick (and had to use the nebulizer - but like a pro!), Lauren got her hair cut, and Stew and I got to enjoy a nice dinner out at Cafe Boa (while Grandma watched the kids).

PL_12WW03 Week 3: We finally headed back to the gym (YMCA), ate our favorite (weekly) dinner of salmon + rice + veggies (the kids both LOVE the salmon skin!), and Stew took the kids to a birthday party for one of Lauren's classmates.

PL_12WW04 Week 4: I worked a lot (again!) while Stew took the kids to the zoo, President Obama visited my Intel site! (although I was not able to attend...), hair cuts for Stew and Cole, and Family Day at Intel where we got to see the world's largest land-based crane for F42's construction.

Project Life | 2011 Catch Up

The two final weeks from 2011, since as I mentioned I got started on this early :)

PL_11WW52Christmas week in Phoenix, packed with lots of activities, including a trip for Lauren to see the Nutcracker downtown.

PL_11WW53New Years week in Las Vegas, where we saw the Rick Thomas magic show, had fun with Ama and Ankong, and ate lots of delicious food.

Starting 'Project Life'

DSC_5752_mod2 I'd been looking for a simpler way to scrapbook, and came across Becky Higgin's Project Life in some of the blogs I frequent. I decided to give it a try, and purchased the core kit (cobalt edition) and several of the photo pocket pages on Amazon.

PL_11WW51 The kit arrived before the holidays, so I decided to get started early - here is my first week's spread. So far, I really like it, because I don't have to spend time planning a layout - just drop in some photos and jot down a few things on the journaling cards. I like also that I finally have a place for some of the other little items - like the kids' artwork, ticket stubs, etc. Now the question is, can I keep up? :)
